（路透社紐約16日電）矽谷重量級大亨提爾（Peter Thiel）將捐助美國共和黨總統候選人川普（Donald Trump）125萬美元打選戰。這是提爾今年初表態支持川普後，首筆捐給川普的款項。
提爾的發言人表示，提爾的獻金將透過政治行動委員會（PAC），錢會直接撥給川普陣營。到目前為止，提爾是美國科技界最顯眼的川普支持者。
身為線上交易支付平台PayPal的共同創辦人、臉書初期投資者並為臉書董事會成員的提爾，今年7月共和黨全代會演說時，毫不保留地支持川普。
提爾的發言人表示，提爾沒有捐款給民主黨總統候選人希拉蕊．柯林頓（Hillary Clinton）。(中央社翻譯)
